Little Rock Fashion Week brings its “fashionment” to Main Street for its 7th annual production. Every year, LRFW has been a huge highlight of the summertime in Arkansas. July 13-18 is almost here and several excited fashion enthusiasts have been buying tickets to see new and latest fashion from designers.

LRFW’s finale The Big Night is the event that helps make LRFW the most anticipated fashion experience in the region. On July 18th, the Big Night will premiere on the fourth block of Main Street in downtown Little Rock, between 4th street and E. Capitol Ave. LRFW’s participants believe that after this year’s presentations that LRFW will reach iconic status.

“Never has it been a high fashion fashion show outdoors on a major street in downtown Little Rock” says Brandon D. Campbell, LRFW’s founder and executive producer. “Shutting down Main Street and reinventing ourselves each year is what makes Little Rock Fashion Week, so special. Downtown Little Rock is known for great businesses, opportunities and creativity, so why put our Little Rock Fashion Week stamp on it.”

For years, LRFW has held its Friday night and Saturday night events at either the Statehouse Convention Center or Robinson Exhibition Hall. All events for LRFW 7 are being housed in new locations than previous years.

Another aspect that guests of LRFW can be excited about is the return home for Keristen Holmes, a T.V. personality and top news anchor at KTBS 3 ABC in Shreveport, La. Holmes, a native of North Little Rock, Ark. and graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, is the host of LRFW’s Big Night.

“Having Keristen come home to host, having the Big Night outside on Main Street, under the stars and the show lights bouncing off the designers’ brand new clothing, I couldn't ask for anything better” said Campbell.

Campbell and staff aren’t the only participants excited for the downtown extravaganza. Fashion designer Laci Cupani, owner of Cupani Fashion – LRFW 2014 Clothing Line of the Year – is equally as ecstatic.

“To go and get my clothing line exposure at the LRFW productions is amazing. For the production to be on Main Street, will be make one heck of a show.” says Cupani. “Fashion itself and the celebration of fashion for the show are very exciting. Working with Brandon Campbell is an exciting experience within itself and fashion week is wonderful. And it's a dream come true for a fashion designer like me to be apart.”

LRFW 7 will highlight the new fashions from Cupani Fashion, Christopher Youngstar (Dallas, TX.), Fricaine by Stephen O. Kayode (Rogers, Ark.), iME by Campbell, Ms Smitty by Jennifer Smith (Maumelle, Ark.), Nicole McGehee Collection by Nicole McGehee (Little Rock) and Robin DS by Robin Spindt (New Orleans). All designers will present new fall/winter collections at the Big Night.

Check in for the Big Night is at 7 pm inside Club Level, 315 Main St., where guests will be treated with food, a complimentary drink and networking before crossing 4th street to enjoy the show at 8 pm. Tickets are $60 in advanced.

LRFW 2014 Model of the Year Faith Laureles, of Baton Rouge, La., headlines the high quality and beautiful group of 60 models of all ages and sizes featured in the Big Night. Models are from all over Arkansas, areas in Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Louisiana. This fortunate cast where part of the nearly 300 aspiring models that tried out for LRFW 7 this past May.

LRFW 7 kicks off on July 13th with LRFW Night at the Arkansas Travelers baseball game at Dickey Stephens Park in North Little Rock. July 14th is LRFW’s Fashion, Beauty, Modeling and Photo Shoot workshop at Comfort Inn & Suites Presidential. July 15th includes community outreach at the Pinnacle Pointe Hospital in the morning and a special presentation called Beyond the Runway: Inside Look into LRFW at the Hillary Clinton Children’s Library that afternoon. On July 16th at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is the annual For Kids by Kids show, which is hosted by KTHV’s Marlisa Goldsmith. On Friday, July 17th is the one-of-a-kind Bare fashion show in which models wear no make-up. This show will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, also, and is being hosted by Miss Arkansas International Ciara Hibdon.

When Campbell started LRFW in 2009 he envisioned that someday LRFW would shut down a major street in downtown Little Rock, pulling from his experience in Hollywood, as a TV live events producer. He worked at the Academy Awards and seen the city shut down several blocks of Hollywood Blvd. for its annual film celebration. It appears that a lot of Campbell’s wishes are coming true. He has a prediction about LRFW 7.

“Not only will guests be satisfied, but they will be entertained,” says Campbell. “This is year seven, so no telling what we will do in 3 years for Little Rock Fashion Week 10.”
